I'm Pro-Life. There. Said It.

I'm Pro-Life. There. Said It.

A recent posting really got me thinking and I have been disturbed over the fact that there aren’t any  right to lifers (other than myself) responding to it but there are several pro-choice advocates – from the intellectual and philosophical to the “boys stink so they don’t count” type of people. I did not feel that my own rants belonged in the comments section – at least not more than what I initially had to say. I do recognize that my beliefs will not be popular but I am committed to being honest about who I am and what I believe. This is such a hot button issue and I have friends who are so much more patient than I am and who can probably give dozens of citations. For now, this is just what I know and how I feel about it.

In regards to the woman’s right to choose what is done to her “own” body:

Not everyone believes the baby is a lump of tissue. MANY people, including our creator, know that baby is a PERSON from the time of conception. Actually, God says he knew us BEFORE we were born. He doesn’t say that he knew we would be or “I had an inkling….” He says He KNEW us BEFORE we were born.

It is a mother’s role to take CARE of her baby and keep her children safe.

Except for in cases of rape, women have the right to either NOT have sex or use birth control. Control what is done to your body in the first place and you won’t have a problem. If birth control fails?  I don’t understand how any woman can see a baby as anything less than a miracle.

And what about rape?

Hard one for some people, but I personally know someone FANTASTIC who would not exist in my life if it were not for a mother who loved her baby more than she hated the man who raped her. Rape is not the fault of the baby. Ever.

What about those women who abuse drugs while pregnant or who have abused children already?

Sterilize the stupid bitches BEFORE they end up pregnant (again?). Maternity starts before birth. If you don’t have those instincts, then get your tubes tied or let someone adopt your baby. THOUSANDS of couples can’t conceive and truly want a baby. Selfish people kill their chances.

About the zany idea that all pro-lifers are freaks:

The assumption that every pro-lifer is some kind of fanatic who thinks all sperm should be preserved and/or abortion clinics should be bombed or that miscarriage is the same as chosen abortion is ASSANINE. Fringe freaks believe that crap. Every time I say I am against abortion I have to hear about that .00001 percent.

About the “illegal=forced death” argument:

Making abortion illegal won’t force women to die in hazardous conditions in the attempt to fight for their “right” to do what they want with their own bodies.  To kill or not to kill…. Hmmm.

And before I get accused of being mean and nasty to women who have had abortions, the truth is I never have been. Most women are terrified and truly believe they can’t take care of a baby or are afraid for other reasons. I know only two women who made the decision lightly and don’t regret it at all. One has had 6 of them and laughingly calls it “birth control”. The other is a raging alcoholic who loves her bottle more than anything else. Those two are not women I have any respect for whatsoever. However, I am not some moron who thinks every woman who aborts her baby is evil. I think many of them truly don’t know any better. I think many of them believe the feminist HYPE that they can’t have a baby AND a career. I think many of them are so freaked out about what their family will think of them that they can’t see any alternatives. They make a bad decision. But most of them are only human and are deserving of compassion.

About the myth that every feminist is pro-choice:

I also believe that every person has the right to believe what they wish to believe. I am grateful for the right to speak my mind.

Jayda's Right to Life

Jayda's Right to Life

In response to a request for photos, I just posted some pics. I can't even imagine how anyone could think that there should be a CHOICE and I thank God every day that Jayda was given to Holly and not someone who believed she couldn't handle caring for a child with disabilities. I can be such a pain sometimes -- worrying and fretting. But I know my girl can do this and I challenge you not to feel the love when you look at the pictures on my page. (news, gossip, rants) For anyone who is confused, this refers to my last posting regarding abortion and responds to the follow-up comments.  Thanks for reading and looking! :)   Of course I'll post pics of my other grandkids but don't want to overdo it.... ;)
